Terms of Service
Last updated: May 28, 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legal contract between you and Doom Inc. ("Doom", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Doom App for iOS or the website at doom.app (together, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Doom's time-management features and at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use DoomInvest. You must have legal capacity to enter into a contract.
2. Your account
You are responsible for all activity that happens through your account. Keep your sign-in factors secure and tell us immediately at vitaliy@fylyk.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. License to use the App
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Doom on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for your own non-commercial use. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, modify or create derivative works of the App except where applicable law expressly permits.
4. Apple Standard EULA — incorporated terms
Doom is distributed through the Apple App Store. The Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) applies to your installation and use of the App, including the following terms:
- The license is granted by Doom Inc., not by Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or any of its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide support, maintenance, warranty service or address claims that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
- You represent that you are not located in any country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
5. Auto-renewable subscriptions (Doom Premium)
Doom Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple through your App Store account. The following disclosures are required by Apple App Review Guideline 3.1.2(a):
- Title: Doom Premium.
- Length of subscription: Monthly or annual, displayed at the point of purchase.
- Price: Shown in your local currency at the point of purchase. The current monthly and annual prices are presented inside the App before you confirm payment.
- Payment: Charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- How to manage or cancel: Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Doom and either change or cancel the subscription. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds: handled by Apple. See Refunds.
6. DoomInvest (opt-in)
DoomInvest is an optional layer that links your Doom account to a brokerage account in your name held at Alpaca Securities LLC, a FINRA-registered broker-dealer, and operates under an investment advisory agreement you sign with our partner Registered Investment Adviser (the "RIA Partner"). When you enable DoomInvest:
- You enter a separate customer agreement with Alpaca and a separate Investment Advisory Agreement with the RIA Partner. Those documents control the brokerage and advisory relationship.
- Doom is a technology layer. Doom is not a broker-dealer, exchange or investment adviser and does not take custody of your funds.
- Investment products are not FDIC-insured, may lose value, and are not guaranteed by Doom, Apple, or any bank.
- Securities are held at Alpaca, which provides up to USD 500,000 of SIPC coverage including up to USD 250,000 of cash claims (subject to SIPC rules).
- See Investment Disclosures for the full set of risk warnings.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services to break the law, infringe another person's rights, or facilitate prohibited transactions (including market manipulation, money laundering or sanctions evasion).
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without our written permission.
- Send automated traffic, scrape, or otherwise abuse the Services.
- Use the App for any commercial purpose other than your own personal financial management.
- Submit identity information that is not your own.
8. Screen Time, Family Controls & device data
Doom uses Apple's Family Controls and DeviceActivity frameworks to detect when you open apps you have explicitly added to your shield list. You can revoke this permission at any time from iOS Settings. Doom does not use Family Controls data for advertising or share it with third-party data brokers.
9. Intellectual property
Doom and its associated logos, trademarks, copy, designs and source code are owned by Doom Inc. or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right or license to our intellectual property other than the limited license described above.
10. Feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions or ideas, you grant Doom a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them without restriction.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doom disclaims all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, secure, or error-free, or that Apple's Screen Time API will detect every app open with perfect accuracy.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doom and its officers, directors, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits, or lost data arising out of your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited (such as gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or in jurisdictions where statutory consumer rights apply).
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Doom and its affiliates harmless from any claim, demand or expense arising out of your use of the Services or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by Doom's own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
14. Termination
You can stop using Doom at any time and delete your account from inside the App. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, for legal compliance, or if continuing to provide the Services to you would create a security or regulatory risk. Sections 9–17 survive termination.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The federal and state courts located in Wilmington, Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not subject to arbitration, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.
For US-resident users, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally within 60 days of a written notice of dispute will be finally settled by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. You and Doom each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action, except where prohibited by law. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by emailing vitaliy@fylyk.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out".
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
17. Miscellaneous
These Terms together with the Privacy Policy, Investment Disclosures and any in-app agreements form the entire agreement between you and Doom regarding the Services. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of substantially all our assets.
