Investment Disclosures

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. DoomInvest is optional. The features described on this page only apply if you choose to enable DoomInvest.

1. Who does what

Doom Inc. develops the iOS application and the user interface. Doom is not a broker-dealer, exchange, investment adviser or bank, and does not take custody of your money or securities.

Alpaca Securities LLC ("Alpaca") is a FINRA-registered broker-dealer and SIPC member. Alpaca opens your brokerage account, performs KYC, holds your cash and securities, and executes orders.

Our RIA Partner is a Registered Investment Adviser under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (or applicable state law). The RIA Partner provides the investment advice that drives the Conservative, Moderate and Aggressive model portfolios. The RIA Partner's identity, ADV brochure and Investment Advisory Agreement are presented inside the App before you enable DoomInvest, and you must accept them before the feature activates.

Plaid Inc. connects your bank account so funds can move between your bank and your Alpaca account. Plaid does not see your investment activity.

2. Investment risk

Investments in securities are not bank deposits. They are:

  • Not FDIC-insured.
  • Not guaranteed by Doom Inc., the RIA Partner, Alpaca, Apple, or any government agency.
  • Subject to investment risks, including possible loss of principal.

Past performance is not a guarantee of future results. Diversification does not eliminate the risk of loss. The Conservative, Moderate and Aggressive model portfolios each have different risk profiles, and an investor should understand the risks before investing.

3. SIPC coverage

Brokerage accounts at Alpaca are protected by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) up to USD 500,000, including up to USD 250,000 of cash claims, subject to SIPC rules and limitations. SIPC protects against the loss of cash and securities held by Alpaca in the event of Alpaca's failure. SIPC does not protect against market losses. For details visit sipc.org.

4. Not personalised investment advice

Content shown inside the Doom App — including model portfolio descriptions, suitability questionnaires, news content and "projected potential" figures — is generic in nature and is not a recommendation to buy or sell any particular security. The advisory relationship is governed solely by the Investment Advisory Agreement you sign with the RIA Partner.

Projections such as "at your current scroll rate, you could invest $X per month" are illustrative. They use simple arithmetic on your historical app-open data and do not predict future contributions, returns or account values. Actual outcomes will differ.

5. Fees & conflicts of interest

The following fees may apply when you use DoomInvest:

  • Toll markup — a small, disclosed margin on each daily micro-debit. The current margin is shown inside the App at the time you confirm a transaction.
  • Advisory fee — an annualised fee charged on assets under management by the RIA Partner. The full rate is disclosed in the Investment Advisory Agreement.
  • Cash sweep — uninvested cash may earn interest. A portion of the interest rate is retained by Doom or its partners; the portion paid to you is disclosed inside the App.
  • Alpaca pass-through fees — regulatory fees (SEC, FINRA, TAF), wire fees and ACAT fees set by Alpaca. These are passed through to you at cost.

Doom may receive a portion of the advisory fee under a revenue-share with the RIA Partner. This creates an incentive for us to keep you invested. You can disable DoomInvest at any time without affecting the rest of the App.

6. Tax considerations

We do not provide tax advice. Investment activity may create taxable events including capital gains, dividends and interest. Alpaca issues year-end tax forms (e.g. 1099-B, 1099-DIV) for your account. Consult a tax professional about your situation.

7. ACH transfers & settlement

Funds transferred from your bank via ACH typically take 1–3 business days to settle. During settlement, funds may not be available to invest or withdraw. ACH transfers can be reversed by your bank if there are insufficient funds — repeated reversals may cause Alpaca to suspend ACH on your account.

8. Age requirement

DoomInvest is available only to US-resident individuals at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in their state) with a valid Social Security Number and a US bank account. Family or custodial accounts may be offered separately in the future and are not included in the current DoomInvest offering.

9. How to close your account

You can disable DoomInvest at any time from the App. To close your brokerage account, withdraw cash via ACH or initiate an ACAT transfer to another broker. Doom will retain only the records required to satisfy securities and tax law recordkeeping (currently up to seven years).

10. Questions

Questions about a brokerage account, a trade or a deposit go to Alpaca through the channels provided in the App. Questions about advice — including the suitability quiz, portfolio selection and rebalancing — go to the RIA Partner. Anything else, email vitaliy@fylyk.com.

Nothing on this page is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security or investment product. Securities offered through Alpaca Securities LLC, member FINRA / SIPC. Advisory services offered through our RIA Partner, an SEC- or state-registered investment adviser. Past performance is not indicative of future results. This page is not directed to any person in any jurisdiction where its publication or availability would be contrary to local law or regulation.
